Description of Services: Employment resources and coaching to find sustainable employment in Ontario
  • assessment of skills, interests, and abilities
  • job search strategies and support, including resume development and interview preparation
  • information about careers and occupations, local labour market, employment opportunities
  • help in maintaining employment
  • information and referral to other employment and community services
  • helps employers find and train workers for employer needs

Better Jobs Ontario (BJO)
Provides funding to eligible unemployed individuals to cover training and living costs, including
  • tuition, books
  • transportation
  • basic living expenses
  • additional supports may be available for child care, disability-related needs, and language or skills training

Fees: Free
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Individuals of legal working age and not attending full time school or training; must be resident of Ontario and eligible to work in Canada
Better jobs Ontario Unemployed, laid off, or low-income individuals
Self-service information and resources - Anyone, including people with jobs, those who are under-employed, people looking for work, students, apprentices, internationally trained individuals, employers
Assisted services (such as supported job search, job matching and placement, job retention services) - People who are unemployed and out of school
